Gion Festival Haiku

giggling girls swirling

yukata adorning them

paper fans in hands

~

gulping down the sweets

sumo-wrestler in Kyoto

the Gion is in flow

~

opened entryways

displayed family heirlooms

take a glance and leave

~

single stroke needed

slashing the rope of desires

begins matsuri
