wasteful are those tears,
make a sudden appearance
when least expected
and intrepid are those lips,
smiling along with the flow
giggling girls swirling
yukata adorning them
paper fans in hands
~
gulping down the sweets
sumo-wrestler in Kyoto
the Gion is in flow
~
opened entryways
displayed family heirlooms
take a glance and leave
~
single stroke needed
slashing the rope of desires
begins matsuri
*Written in response of Carpe Diem # 230.
under blazing sun
lone sweltering traveler
comes blowing cool breeze
.
feel of a cold breeze
sleeping under a fig tree
shaded from sunshine
.
cold water shower
after a day out in heat
a sound of relief
.
heavy clouds gather
after days of summer heat
cool drop falls on cheeks
.
playing small children
suzushi environment
change in the weather
* For Carpe Diem # 218
she sat on the creek’s bank
waiting for
the time to come by
whence
she could open her hair braid,
put away those restraining ornaments
and
dissolve in the waters
and flow away
to meet her destiny,
to meet
her cay.
After writing this piece, I came up with an alternate version which is like this:-
she sat on the creek’s bank
waiting for
the time to come by
whence
she could reach out the distance,
immerse herself in the waters
and
dissolve away those fears
and fly away
to meet her destiny,
to find
her way.

Violet juice dripping down
seeping through the lips
gritted through the canines
down it flows to the chest
gives the pleasure at its best
the sipping of intoxicating wines
a quite shudder at the hips
the head be dazzled with a crown
the beautiful lusty juice
through the body, running loose.
