Samidare (Midsummer Rain) Haiku

tip-tip-toe-tip-tip

music of rain on pavement

lost in memories

~

out of oblivion

clouds shade the sky in its cloak

the first drops fell down

 ~

a midsummer rain

relieving yearning pupils

a solace from heat

~

elevated Sun

drizzling clouds in the sunshine

look for the rainbow

 ~

the midsummer’s day

longest in glory and rays

washed down by the rain

~

looking through window

a play of the rain droplets

meditating life

Peony Haiku

blooming peonies

flower of riches, honor

odoriferous

.

the secret sender

sweet passion, admiration

budding peony

.

the king of flowers

hiding the mischievous nymphs

from the lust of gods

.

sent through the window

of heart, a bunch of botans

for the beloved

.

blushed pink and purple

the face of the young maiden

peony colors

And that is when my dream breaks…

The cackling of the birds

the sound of the church bell

the whoosh of the lightly blowing wind

the drop of the drizzle like snow

the faint laughter coming from across the road

while I am sitting here

watching through an old tainted window

sipping on a cup of hot tea

a faint smile appears on my face

and that is when my dream breaks.
