Cold Rain: Basho Inspired Creations

A cold rain starting

And no hat —

So?

~

drenching me throughout

a cold rain spattering down

clothes cling to body

~

tilted umbrella

drops soaking the plastic face

thunder up above

* The first haiku is written by Basho. And the other two are my own inspired creations.

Champagne Haiku (Inspired)

Jane Reichhold’s Haiku,

filling

the glass with candlelight

champagne

~

My inspired creation,

the clinking glasses

champagne glints in candle flame

wall-clock chimes midnight

* Written for Carpe Diem Special.

innocent

innocent she was

in her resolute silence

innocent she was

in her underlying posture

innocent she was

in her gullible gestures

innocent she was

in her worthwhile moments

innocent she was

when she thrived and dreamed

innocent she is

when she shed those pearls

innocent she is

in her emotionless words

innocent she is

in  her dead eyes

innocent she is

in her submissive forms

innocent she is

in her nude covers

a sculpture of innocence

she was, she is.

* Inspired by the photograph titled Innocent by amberafrica. It is extraordinary.

Inspired Haiku

Kikusha Ni’s Creation:-

my body all alone

in this autumn I feel –

the dusk in rain

~

My inspired creations:-

alone in the field

I feel the feel of rain drops

stream of silent tears

~

at the edge of ship

glancing at shades of water

lone feeling of peace

P.s.- The two haiku I have created are very close to my heart. They are written in response to Carpe Diem Special 44.
