water

let-a-smile

his music trickled down my spine,

like water, it registered my thirst
for something new, for something

i forgot i could feel — in a circular
exhale of his smile, i smiled too, and
resting my feet, i waited for more.

  1. How beautiful it is to feel. It is interesting in this form how the first line essentially embraces the substance and feel of The Whole Poem, and then cascades downstream to deeply satisfying waters, yet still the same river. Smiling here too.
