unity of colors

I never saw the colors in fragments,
could never steal one away from another,

the red sharpens my eyes into a belief
that tomorrow will be a new sky
of blue.

I got blue shoes today, with a hint of red,
quite allowing my navy shorts to stand out,
I wonder if they would go with the green ones.

I walked into the play of the clouds and the sun,
the grey teasing the bright yellow and orange,
butterflies cross my vision, I grab invisible webs
clinging to my body, they are colorless and
out of reach.

there was a time when I used to look around for
a rainbow after the dull rains, but never could find one.
now, I know that it is everywhere, in the light,
in the shadow, in the hills, in the meadows,
it’s everywhere, this unity of our changing times.

and I wear all these colors around me at once.

A plain one, with some colorful symbolism, for Poets United Midweek Motif.

  1. X says:

Hey there amnol. I hope you have been well. As unified as a rainbow, each band of color clinging to the next, becoming more as it does. Hey if you feel comfortable wearing the colors, rock it out man. I like my flashy colors.

  2. Ah! Beautiful. Colors signify so much – time, state of mind,- It’s a naturally beautiful analogy. My first time here, and you’ve got a new follower now, HA.

  3. there are so many layers in these lines
” I used to look around for
a rainbow after the dull rains, but never could find one.
now, I know that it is everywhere, ”

  4. This makes me think of people who can feel/taste/hear colour…it is a gift..brings alive the world in a whole new way..it was good to see it illuminated in your wonderful piece

  5. colors are magical – and each has its own special spell…. carrying them all around is a good thing and sometimes focusing on one or two makes some non-colors bright and seductive

  6. Such great beauty, and an inspirational one, in the finishing lines,
It feels great to read your writing again, and I am sorry I am being a bad guest on your blog at the moment, I am looking forward to having more time to read precious material from friends such as you.
    Hope you are well!

  7. Wow. I left the internet for a while. I am so happy to see that you are doing good. I’m myself moving along fine.

You just gave me a ton of hope, without realizing it, maybe.

Thank you so much; for the poem and for your life and for everything (:

Please tell me how you are doing and what’s new, would love to catch up. (If I don’t respond, it’s because my internet access is on and (very) off.

    • Hey Rara,

It’s so good to see you blogging again. I didn’t know how to leave a message to you because I didn’t know what to say.

Thank you for inspiring all of us in the blogosphere. And I wish you loads of happiness. 🙂

I’m not blogging much anymore but I’d definitely try to keep a tab on how you are doing. That is why I’ve started following you on Instagram as well.

      Take care, dear friend. 🙂
