Argument: A Very Short Story

“I am quite frustrated. I am not able to do so. It is difficult for me, you know?”

“You are providing such a weak reason. You must finish what you started.”

“But I am bored.”

“So you are bored. Wow! So should the earth stop rotating if it gets bored? Should the air stop blowing if it gets bored?”

“You are being impractical.”

“You are being impractical as well. You must finish your job.”

“I don’t want to do it. Isn’t that what you wanted to hear? Here it is. Now let me sleep.”

“Why should I care? Anyhow, this argument is a waste of time. I must go to sleep as well.”

He slept in the lonely room, the moon light peering through the window casting his sleeping shadow against himself.

  1. I have spent some time with my shadow lately also. It is a dark place that I sometimes have to go into to find the light at the end of the tunnel. No tunnel, no light at the end of it. I need that. Seems like this is the medicine of the day. Charles is having a bum day too. Stop by my blog and have a look at my past 24 hours. It might make yours seem a bit brighter.
