Woman in white of face withering
away with a wane look in eyes
pleas for penance for less than pensive
attitude towards the plight of
those who suffer seams of stress
time and again same as ever
she traverses, travels for that time
when she’d understand truth after all
she drowns and drenches in ditches
of the pure waters, drink for relief
from her callous crimes that cause
her infinitesimal catastrophic pain
* I tried.. for dverse Form for All. At least there is alliteration.. <<innocent>>
Love the alliterations.. probably the most diffiecult form we had on dVerse—

Really strong on the alliterations – the form is deceptive; it looks simple but it demands a different way of thinking than we are used to.

That image is amazing and I don’t care about the form though can appreciate how hard you tried. I love the descriptions of her emotions. That last line is a gem.

this rolls when you read it. there have been a couple of poems to this prompt that i really would like to hear the author read. your poem is one of those. it’s rich and luscious.
