Movies- Especially those which claim(or are partly meant) to show some part of the real life….
Here’s my simple definition for those movies- false perception of something real!
The life projected by movies, by varied books, by those “successful” sort of people we envisage to be in our dreams– its all fake.
Because there is no life without problems… Problems even arise in the life of that person who claims to be the happiest person in the whole world(well, I don’t think someone would go on bragging about something like that). That is the central point around which our life rotates.
Life is a blend of joys, gloom, love, hatred, beauty and drastic things. Life consists of the moments- the million moments, both happy and sad, both memorable and necessarily to be forgotten.
Why?
Because
LIFE ISN’T A FAIRY TALE…………
I have always heard of one particular quote about life- Life is as we take it… Huh? Complicated? Right!
So, instead of explaining some silly-billy quote, I would rather talk about the life which isn’t a fairy tale. Well even in fairy tale, the princesses and the fairies have to deal with villainous stuff:-
1. Rapunzel had to get across her evil guardian to meet the boy of her life.
2. Snow White had to go into deep sleep because of the evil plan of the wicked Queen.
3. Cinderella had to face the agony while living with her evil step-mother and her daughters.
Take any fairy tale- it isn’t an easy tale either.
So, how could we believe that the life is going to be full of happiness and joys and blossoms and love.
Well, those who believe so and those who defend the false projection of a life like this- you’re wrong. Be practical or psychological, theoretical or philosophical, spiritual or material, you’re definitely going to see through the dark curtain which makes you believe that someone’s life is perfect and makes you grieve for it.
Life isn’t a fairy “tail”
It is just like a boat’s first sail
How it floats on the water
With a hope of smoothness later
How it appears with a strong sweetness
But indeed it faces the water’s hardness
How it sets the sail forward
Of course it isn’t meant for the coward
How it moves, sets towards the destination
It doesn’t project the charm of the mansion
How it struggles in its path
Facing the natural wrath
Life isn’t always beautiful
It need one to be dutiful
Tackle the difficulties even if it is hard
Since it has to reach the final yard.
Great post! Thank you.
My belief is that we are all on the hero’s journey. In order to get our gifts or to find the light “on the other side”, we all have to accept or make peace with a certain amount of darkness. In the end, I don’t think there is just one happily ever after to life, but I do firmly believe that we all have the opportunity to experience many happily ever afters at each and every ending and twist and turn of fate which gifts us with an ending and a new beginning… nothing is clear cut or black or white… it’s all shades of gray and it’s our job to keep our eyes open to the miracles and goodness surrounding us.
That’s my two-cents.
Have a lovely day,
Currie
